Campaign Highlights from May 2019
Cardiff Animal Rights have been keeping up their frequent presence outside the Flannels Cardiff store, with their usual wide array of posters. They are also garnering public support for their petition to ban the sale of real animal fur in Wales, which you can sign and share here.
Speaking of petitions, during April our petition calling on Flannels to reinstate a fur-free policy reached over 2,000 signatures and counting!
Over in Plymouth, activists (this time from DxE Devon and Cornwall) made local news in the Plymouth Herald – who’ve covered multiple protests held outside the store – as the campaigners planned another protest outside their local Flannels branch.
Flannels are still yet to respond to our communication which we sent to them at the start of our campaign, and they’ve also declined to provide comments to the various journalists from across the country who’ve contacted them. Quite simply, it is morally indefensible to sell real animal fur, so we aren’t surprised by their lack of comment! Our campaign will only continue to grow, Flannels, until you do the right thing and drop the bloody fur trade, for good!
